Hi, I'm Verena – owner of Kunsthandel Pichler, gemologist, and passionate about discovering special pieces. Vintage and antique items have been a part of my life, and today I'm privileged to share this love with you.
Even as a child, I was surrounded by beautiful, unique things. My parents are art enthusiasts and passionate collectors—so it's no wonder this passion caught my attention early on. While others were passionate about math or languages, my high school diploma subject was clear: Art Deco costume jewelry. I later further developed this fascination with jewelry and gemstones and trained as a gemologist.
My everyday life as a business owner
For me, Kunsthandel Pichler is more than just a shop—it's my creative space, my passion, and a place where I can personally advise my clients. I love interacting with people, sharing the stories behind the pieces, and finding treasures together that perfectly match their style.
Of course, there are also stressful days. I'm someone who always wants to do my best, and sometimes my thoughts linger on a situation for a long time. I usually make decisions based on gut feeling, but when things get hectic, I often wonder if I did everything right. Exercise helps me clear my head—be it a walk in nature, some exercise, or simply a change of scenery.
What is important to me
I select each piece with great love and care – quality, design, and uniqueness are my top priorities. For me, sustainability means not only breathing new life into old things, but also making conscious choices. With my knowledge as a gemologist, I can also accurately assess which pieces of jewelry are of high quality and tell a special story.
