Brooches come in a wide variety of styles. There are large, medium, small, heavy, light, etc. However, not every brooch is suitable for every outfit, or with these tricks, you can wear it with any outfit!
Small brooches
Small brooches are perfect for any material. But to ensure they don't go overlooked, they're perfect as a highlight on a scarf, shirt collar, or jacket lapel. My tip: Casually tie a scarf around your neck and attach a small glittery brooch directly to the knot. The perfect accessory is ready.
Medium brooches
Medium-sized brooches are also suitable—provided they're lightweight, they can be worn on almost any material. You can wear them on a T-shirt or even a blouse. Be careful with delicate materials that won't tolerate the brooch pin's penetration!
Large & heavy brooches
For large and heavy brooches, the material matters. Choose sturdier materials like denim jackets, blazers, coats, or even a knit sweater. It's also important to fill the space on the pin well with fabric so it doesn't tip over.
And last but not least, a pro tip from a dear colleague of mine: For more grip on heavy brooches, or if you want to wear a heavy brooch on a delicate material, place a piece of fabric underneath the actual material. (This only works with opaque fabrics.) This gives the brooch more grip!
We hope you enjoy wearing brooches!
